We are so excited to launch our new season PAINTBOX PRIMARIES AW18 collection! This season we started with our signature free and simple garments and have played with the idea of creating colour extremes in our range. At one end of the spectrum we have a decidedly subdued palette with white, black and grey and at the other end we have added big and small pops of primary colours to bring some veritable firework to the collection. As always all of our garments have been sized for a generous fit and are all made with durable cotton fabrics that can withstand a bit of wear and tear and give the adventurous little people ultimate comfort.
We have collaborated with two talented illustrators on our prints this season, Nadia Flower and Matthew Langille. We have worked with Nadia for the past four seasons and love her design which is striking, graphic and decorative. What defines her style is the inclusion of so many tiny details; you can find new things in her illustrations each time you look at them. We are super excited to be working for the first time with Matthew who is a New York-based artist. His work has been shown at galleries around the world and featured in numerous publications. He has created images for many global fashion + design houses including Marc Jacobs, Adidas and Swatch.
Recently we had our campaign shoot for the season with our fave photographer @imogenwilson_ at Takapuna Beach, where the boys had a blast just mucking about and doing their thing. Check out some of the rad photos we got from our day.
