Unique Techniques That Make Every Piece One-of-a-Kind
At BOB+TGC, we believe Minis deserve clothes as original as they are. For SS25 we’ve pushed creativity further with unique dyeing techniques including washes, tie dye and dip dye. Each method brings its own vibe, and because every piece is finished by hand, no two are ever exactly alike. Our fabrics are also designed exclusively for us, which means they cannot be found anywhere else — these are not stock fabrics, they are created to be truly unique to BOB+TGC.
The Washed Look
Not all washes are created the same, and that’s what makes them so fun.
Mineral-Washed Tees
Mineral washing is all about comfort. The fabric is treated with natural enzymes and softeners (sometimes combined with pumice stones) to relax the fibres. This makes the garment softer, smoother, and gives it that “broken-in” feel straight away, while the colour stays rich.

Vintage-Effect Washes
For a more visible washed look, garments go through a process that softens and slightly fades the colour. This creates tonal variations and lighter patches, giving the fabric that retro, sun-faded effect, like a favourite tee that’s already lived a little.

Tie-Dye Reimagined
Tie-dye is the definition of individuality. Each piece is hand-dyed, which means no two are ever exactly the same.
How it’s done:
Tie-dye pieces are twisted, tied, or folded before being dyed, so the colour penetrates unevenly and creates unique patterns. Because it’s done by hand, every single tee comes out differently — your Mini’s is guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind.

Dip-Dye / Ombre Fade
Dip-dye, also known as ombre, is all about colour transitions. Bright tones melt into lighter shades, creating bold fades that give even classic silhouettes a fresh edge.
How it’s done:
Each garment is carefully dipped into dye baths so the colour gradually travels up the fabric. By controlling the depth and time in the dye, we achieve smooth, eye-catching gradients. Because this is all done by hand, no two fades ever look exactly alike.
