We love following you on Instagram! Please share with our readers a little about you and who you are, and of course who you are mama to!
I am a mum of 3 (Jake 12, Archie 4 and Theodora AKA Teddie 2). We are based in beautiful Northand and we love the laid-back life style and the fact we have our family here. Dot Dash started over 2 years ago while on maternity leave from my job as a theatre nurse. It has evolved from birth bags, rompers to now our blog. The blog is our journey as a family with all the fun stuff like food and fashion thrown in for good measure.
Boys rule. Tell us your 3 most loveable or curious things about having boys
The laughs. I think sometimes if you didn't you would cry! The way their brains are always working to fix or create. And how much they love their sister. She drives them balmy BUT if anyone messes with her ...... watch out two big brothers on the loose!!
Can you share a precious mama- son moment you’ve had recently?
Archie (4) the sensitive soul he is, will come up to me and ask me how my day was. He will sit and listen and it makes my heart happy.
What are your ‘can’t live without’ things to make life with boys easier?
Food! I'm currently being eaten out of house and home!!
What do you feel are the 3 most versatile garments in a boy’s wardrobe?
We are big on layering. Heading into Autumn/Winter they live in long sleeve tees with a vest or jacket and a pair of jeans or chinos. My boys also live in their chucks or vans.
What are your top mum style go-to outfits?
I live in my drop crotch pants from Madame Goblin. I really must buy another pair! I am also a simple tee fan which go with anything and can be dressed up or down. Everyone needs a leather jacket, one that is simple and stylish and never dates.
Where do you get your personal style inspiration from?
My grandmother once told me "just because it is in fashion, doesn't mean you should wear it!" I think simple, classic and comfort sums up my style.
What else inspires you as a woman and as a mama?
I think as a woman and a mother it's very easy to get caught up in the bubble of motherhood. To me it is important to remember that we are not just mothers. We are women. Who before we gave life, were wives, partners, creatives and individuals. So, for me it's important to step back at times and remember who we are and to remind ourselves of our journeys on the path to motherhood.
